What makes Zen-Xero different from other ceramic coatings?
Zen-Xero Dynamix utilizes a unique "Accelerator" technology. Unlike standard coatings that cure slowly with air, our 2-part system initiates a high-speed density reaction, fusing glass and fluorine components instantly. This creates a film thickness and gloss level that single-layer coatings cannot achieve.
How long does the coating last?
When applied by an Authorized Installer and maintained correctly, V3 offers 2-3 years protection, while Zen-Xero Dynamix is designed to provide ultra-durable protection for 3 to 5 years. The "active bond" technology in Dynamix ensures the coating remains anchored to the paint surface longer than traditional protection products.
Why do you not offer coatings that last longer than 5 years?
Many coating products will last much longer when stored inside out outside of regular elements most automobiles see. It is not realistic to expect durability of over 5 years on a vehicle that is outside regularly in all types of weather. It is also unreasonable to think these vehicles will not need to be polished to enhanced within 5 years from initial ceramic coating service.
Do I still need to wash my car?
Yes. While the coating is self-cleaning, regular washing is required to remove heavy road film. However, the washing process will be significantly easier and faster due to the slick, non-stick surface.
What makes Zen-Xero different from Echelon V3?
Echelon V3 is fully inorganic, ultra-thin and ultra-dense, allowing it to be more flexible and sprayable. Zen-Xero is a hybrid glass and fluorine coating that creates a thicker, harder layer with higher optical enhancement.
What coating do I want for my vehicle?
Zen-Xero Dynamix is our premier protection with thickest film build and resistance to marring and damage, but is reserved for the best services and vehicles. Echelon V3 is a much easier to install product, resulting in a much friendlier price to the vehicle owner, with still an extremely high level of protection that lasts 2-3 years in normal conditions.
Why is Zen-Xero restricted to authorized installers?
Zen-Xero Dynamix is a professional-grade 2-component system (Base + Accelerator). It requires precise mixing, humidity control, and often infrared curing (preferred but not necessary) to ensure the chemical bond forms correctly. Improper application can result in high spots or coating failure.
Can I apply Zen-Xero on matte finishes?
Yes, but specific protocols must be followed. The coating enhances the depth of the color without adding artificial gloss that would ruin the matte look. Please consult the technical manual for the matte application guide.
What is the cure time?
The coating achieves initial surface hardness within 24 hours. However, full chemical resistance and hardness take approximately 7 days to fully cure. We recommend keeping the vehicle dry for the first 24 hours. IR cure lamps can increase cure time for easy vehicle delivery.
Is there a maintenance spray?
Yes. We recommend Oberk Lotus Coat for maintaining hydrophobics and protecting the vehicle from water spotting and staining as a sacrificial top coat during maintenance washes. This replenishes the hydrophobic properties and protects the base glass layer. We are currently developing a product with Echelon Japan to offer a top coat product specifically for the US market.

Chemical Composition Overview
Zen-Xero Dynamic contains proprietary glass-forming siloxanes and fluoropolymer compounds in a dual-component system. The Base component provides the glass matrix, while the Accelerator initiates rapid cross-linking for superior film density. Both products are free of VOCs above regulatory limits and formulated to aerospace-grade standards.
